Now, let’s reset the power board.

  • Step 1: First, turn off the refrigerator and then remove the 12 Vdc positive and negative wires.
  • Step 2: Then remove the AC power cord, solenoid gas valve wires, and spark electrode assembly wires.
  • Step 3: Now, remove the power board cover and connect the 12 Vdc positive and negative wires. Next, turn the refrigerator on.
  • Step 4: After that, you will need to look for Pin 15 on the 16-pin connector. Basically, it’s an empty socket and can be found in the top row. It can be found on the right side of the white or violet wire.
  • Step 5: Next, take an insulated jumper and short Pin 15 to the power board ground lug until you hear a clicking sound.
  • Turn on and off the refrigerator and check.

Now, you have successfully reset the power board. If still the led is flashing then follow steps 4 and 5 again. If the issue is solved then reconnect the wires again and start using your refrigerator.

2. Use Optical Display to Reset the Power Board

You can reset the power board by clearing the fault history on screen 6. Now let’s clear the history.

  • When E and r are displaying on the optical display, press and hold the TEMP SET button.
  • After that, when C and L are displaying, release the button and wait for five seconds.
  • Lastly, again press and hold the TEMP SET button until E and r are displayed.

3. Use Multi-Standard Wire to Reset the Power Board

From procedure 1, follow steps 1 to 3 and then follow the following steps to reset the power board.

  • After turning on the refrigerator, check if the refrigerator is operating in manual AC mode.
  • Now, take a 10-gauge multi-standard wire. And make sure both ends insulation are stripped.
  • Next, insert one end of the wire into the P2-2 opening and hold it. In the meantime, place the other end of the wire on the metal back panel. Now hold them for at least 10 seconds.

Now, turn off the refrigerator and check whether the issue is solved or not. If no then follow the steps again.
